Myths About The Glamour of Fur

Before you buy fur, please forget the myths regarding the "glamour" of furs and think about the animals who were killed to make fur coats and trims.
If these animals were trapped, they suffered excruciating pain in steeljaw leghold traps for days. These traps are known for their indiscriminance -- not only do they catch the intended animals, but they also catch dogs, cats, songbirds, wolves, squirrels, and even bald eagles. Many of the animals who are trapped are left crippled or chew off their own limbs to escape. Those that do escape these traps generally die a short time later from the wounds.
If these animals were "ranched", they were kept in tiny, dirty cages for their entire lives. Fur farm animals are killed by electrocution (anally or vaginally), poison (such as antifreeze), suffocation, or are skinned alive.
Remember, trappers, "ranchers", and furriers care only about their profits, not about the animals' suffering. Please show compassion and help to stop the suffering.
